Notices of Motion/Remits

The following Rule change remits have been received. All are the full wording of the remit

Remit 1.

Amend Rule 4.1 Modification.

Add to the rule after “and the fitting of RC control surfaces” “Rudder (Yaw), Elevator (Pitch), and Aileron (Roll) control only”.

The purpose of this Remit is to clarify what controls are allowed and to indicate that camber changing or landing aids such as flaps or spoilers etc are not permitted.

Proposed by G Burrows and J Ensoll

Remit 2

Add to Rule 4.1 Modification

“No change may be made to the original design’s propulsion except that for FF Duration and RC Precision and Duration events an electric motor may replace an IC engine in a power model design."

The purpose of this addition is to clarify that, say, only rubber power can be used if the original design was rubber design, and it cannot be converted to I C or electric power for Vintage competition use.

Proposed by J Ensoll and G Main

Remit 3

Amend Vintage RC Duration Rule 6.2.5 motor runs by changing paragraph

 a. Electric from 20 seconds to 25 seconds.

Purpose to increase the motor run time for Electric drive to allow this form of drive to more readily compete in the class.

Proposed by A Knox and P Salmond
